Reminder: Spoutible isn't Twitter, and some people are bringing their Twitter habits here. "Free speech" doesn't mean being free to bully or harass. If your goal is to be disruptive, this is not the platform for you.

I FIND THAT COMMENT INTERESTING AFTER THE MANY ATTACKS OF MY OPINION AND YOU DID NOTHING BUT TELL ME TO TAKE DOWN THE SPOUT... I GUESS IT'S RULES ARE SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT ..... NEEDLESS TO SAY I AGREE TO DISAGREE WITH YOU ON THIS POINT

We're all adults, there's no reason we can't vigorously debate hot button issues without the ability to "agree to disagree", stay friendly and come back more prepared for when we pick up debating. Hell, it should be one of the biggest draws of Spoutible. " this isn't Twitter "- that's the best part!

What does it mean to be disruptive?

To be abusive?

Or to go against the norm, express unpopular views?

Scientists glueing themselves for gathering attention to a crisis are disruptive. Activists are disruptive.

I noticed an increase in rude and hostile behavior lately as well. If that's your thing then your tribe isn't here. They're over at the dying bird dog site.
Just a friendly reminder!

Hear, hear! Go back to Twitter or wherever else that trash behavior is welcomed. Thanks @cbouzy for maintaining all that's necessary, so that #Spoutible remains a safe and fun sm platform, for us and anyone else interested, to be a part of. 👍🏾🙏🏾🫶🏾

Hello Chris, I apologise to bring this up here....

I was never blocked by Liberals on sewer Twitter bc of my religion #islam 💔💔💔

Beta tester shawnathanDC & some followers whom I never known b4 blocked me-doesn't represent #Spoutible 's values

Plz, stop #Islamophobia while it's early 💜✌🏾

Sorry
Some ppl block people 'just because'...
Some I realized are introverts and didn't like anyone messaging them or replying to their spouts.
We can't and shouldn't expect someone to not block us. Their choice.

Having said that, if you've noticed islamophobia, do bring it to everyones attention.

Please, all-also recalibrate your relationship to discomfort.

Each time I log in, I scroll warily, knowing I'll be inundated with insistence on "kindness" and "safety" and no "hurt feelings," and I just leave again. I've only once made it more than 5 Spouts before comfort enforcing posts took ove

I am very uncomfortable with the term disruptive.

It is vague, undefined, same as our ratings.

Activists are disruptive in a generally good way.

Is there any policy regarding people taking screengrabs of spouts and posting them on other platforms for the purpose of disparaging/harassing?

I'm pretty sure that cross-platform harassment is explicitly banned and grounds for removal.

I've been on Spoutible since its inception. Being here has been such a pleasure because it brings back memories of early Twitter. I've not had harassment of any kind. I blocked two accounts because I know them as rabid Elon Musk lovers on Twitter.

Thank you, Christopher, for this space!

And this is why most of us are here with you and have chosen to be a part of Spoutible. And what is also very important is that this thing has gradually grown, the awareness of wanting a community that is truly a place of expression of values, truth and respect. A place of exchange and inspiration🐳

Heated discussion- 👍 Bullying&harrassment 👎👎 Now folks need to learn the difference. And I too for future would like the ability to mute someone. Blocking seems more permanent even tho it's not.

I've been hoping to get the ability to mute, too.. It's one of the few features I liked about Twitter. I don't always want to block or unfollow, I just need a break from repetitive topics/discussions from time to time.
