I struggled with hate and bitterness for many years.

My father was assassinated, my paternal grandmother was assassinated, my uncle died mysteriously.

But I had to seek wellness or I would have been consumed.

I’m grateful that I learned that love is great fuel for justice.

I’m glad you survived and even transcended such trauma. I guess memory of pain will always leave residual echoes, but we can leverage hurt and carry what our beloved lost have given us when they were here. I’m grateful for my own parents’ goodness, and for what yours gave to us all. Stars in heaven.

So true. Emotional pain needs an outlet so it doesn't become self consuming...

I’ve got something difficult to deal with tomorrow and I’m seething. I really needed to hear this.

That’s an incomprehensible amount of trauma. My heart goes out to you for enduring this legacy of violence and unjust loss and converting it into fuel for positive action. You’re a strong lady and your father’s daughter Thank you 🙏 🫂

It may not be much in the way of a salve, but all America owes you and your family a debt we can never repay.
