And what goes hand in hand with extreme heat? Famines. There is no way farmers can grow grain when temps exceed 110 F for multiple days in a row, as just happened in SE Asia (Thailand/Vietnam). There goes the rice crop for a big part of the world. And it won't improve until we stop emitting carbon.

I had read, years ago, about what to expect leading up to the 2050s. Longer, hotter, drier, summers, less and less frost in winter untill there is no frost, and the wet seasons will be not just rain but torrential.
