Because deep down for a lot of people, they just want to walk blindly through. They want to coast on privilege or race and not have to make tough decisions or risk losing their space in the community. MLK wouldn't have spoken of the white moderate problem if there weren't so damn many of them.

Exactly. Don't rock the boat, don't ruin thanksgiving. These people have nothing they won't ruin thanksgiving over, and I think everyone SHOULD. Lines in the sand mean nothing if people gonna redraw them so as to never actually have to cross them. They need to grow a damn backbone and some morality!

Exactly. They can't risk comforts. They have a support system there, mostly financial, and they can't shake that tree. So they tell themselves that their allyship is enough and no one would expect them to not love their family even if they don't always agree.
