Every state can improve voting laws.

1. Ban voter challenges
2. Prevent long voting lines
3. Limit partisan poll watchers
4. Strengthen vote counting and certification
5. Require courts to protect voting rights

Let’s add ballots by mail as well as vote in person, voter registration up to and including Election Day.

How do we fight the new trend of duly elected "Democrats" who suddenly switch their party affiliation upon taking office?

It’s fraud and should be treated as such imo. The affected constituency could file suit for being defrauded.

The with drawl by Fla from ERIC seems like a huge step towards corruption. Who would have ever believed this would happen in America?

2. Prevent long voting lines: URGE voters to vote WHOLE ballot, inc. COUNTY offices, specifically, Democratic COUNTY CLERKS who VOW to INCREASE # of polling stations/ballot drop locations, work w/ state legislatures to draft mail in ballot legislation(my Clerk did), INCREASE early voting period, etc.

I do understand why so states make it harder to vote but it seems to go against everything our Constitution is. I am so lucky to live in CA where every registered voter is just sent a ballot. That's the way it should be for everyone.

Why don't I ever see pushes for Ranked Choice Voting? It would lower animosity among the parties, lowering the extreme divides we have in this country currently.

Very doubtful it would reduce animosity or extreme divides. Polarized voters will still think their guy was cheated, and blame it on ranked voting. I'm not convinced it's any better. We just need to vote, every time, every election.

How do you do this in states that are majority ruled by Republicans? They would never vote for anything that would make voting easier, fairer or safer for minorities and Democrats. You can see how the majority Republican congress is working to dismantle and prevent Biden's achievements.

I also want to see a law creating a set of technical standards for voting machines, or a reference design for machines. The idea being let's develop a modern, safe, accurate, reliable way of counting votes. One that is unassailable and that would shut down criticisms of vote counting from the right.

Agree. This 👉🏽 “The vendors retain proprietary ownership of the software that is used to record and count votes. It is not available for public inspection and in most cases, cannot be inspected by the jurisdiction licensing the software.”

Bam gerrymandering should be the #1 priority.
There’s nothing fair about elections while that practice is in place.

Meanwhile, last week in Tennessee, a newly-elected Republican representative floated a quickly-popped trial balloon (she obviously picked the wrong week for that): eliminate early in-person voting.

It will be back.

We need national Voting Rights legislation, but that won't happen unless Democrats win back the House, keep the White House, & keep the Senate in 2024.
I was so mad about Brian Kemp's voter suppression that I became an activist.

Agree 100% with those plus I would add:

6. mail in voting for everyone with in person voting as a back up.
7. drop off boxes at all municipal buildings and hospitals and nursing homes.

And block #gerrymandering . They cut up blue cities in red states like a pizza where all the toppings got thrown in the middle of the pie.
