This year, a 30-second Super Bowl ad costs $7 million.

The average K-12 public school lunch debt is about $22,600.

To Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis' point, the cost of that Jesus ad could pay off the lunch debt of 310 schools.

As Christians, we need to walk the walk. This ad isn't walking.

The folks who paid for those ads aren't Christians. They are white nationalists.

Late to the party, but here's some information about who funded that advertisement.

If one assumes some organized religious groups are for- profit corporate entities, incentivized to maximize profit and financial leverage, there is no hypocrisy.

That's because this ad isn't really Christian. And I have some doubts about the people paying for it as well.

Beware, I tell you, of wolves in sheep's clothing.

the fact that the founder of Hobby Lobby is one of the people behind those ads makes them suspect. we always have to be researching who is behind these campaigns, sigh.

Wholly agree.
But we should also be having a national conversation about the concept of "school lunch debt." Feeding kids should not be so damn partisan.

It is FOOD. They are CHILDREN. They are required to attend during a time a meal would be served.

That should be the end of the discussion.

Exactly. Plus funded by a bunch of anti LGBTQ organizations. So they love the kids, until the kids come out as gay or trans.

Totally agree with your point. The problem I see with the preachy crowd is their "do as I say..." attitude. Maybe I'm not hearing the right Bible crowd, but they seem to cherry pick what they like/dislike in the Bible (oh that phrase, it applies to others, not us...).

The MN legislature is on the verge of making school breakfast and lunch free for all kids, and our governor, #TimWalz , will sign it.
Elections matter--turning the MN Senate back to D control, combined with maintaining a D House & re-electing our D gov, has already had amazing, positive impacts!
