Missouri Republicans want the bible (whose? which?) taught in schools. Not to be outdone, Republicans in Michigan:
"Republican bill would mandate teaching about 'Christian foundations' of U.S."

Left my Catholic upbringing long ago and have embraced agnosticism. These folks convince me that there is no god as it would surely have struck them down by now if it existed. I want "Twas the Night Before Christmas" taught in history class as much evidence for Santa. Where can I impose my prejudice?

“The Founders wrote the Constitution; not the Apostles. They added the Bill of Rights; not the Ten Commandments. Their intent was Freedom of Religion. It was not Control by Religion. They created a Democracy; not a Theocracy. Christianity is not a political party.”
