Speaker Kevin McCarthy said the debt limit deal contains “no wins” for Democrats.

Even though the agreement is largely a raw deal for American people, the exemption of veterans, the homeless, and foster care youth from SNAP work requirements is surely a win for Democrats.

He's not talking to all of us. He's talking to republican voters.

Two years - and one of those years an election year - of not having to deal with #GOP #Republican idiocy over the "debt ceiling" is a HUGE WIN for @Democrats and #WeakerSpeakerKevin knows it,

But if McCarthy can convince his party that they win and are keeping the Dems from winning, we're more likely to get out of this mess (for now!).

Not defaulting on our national debt is a win for democrats. Not having to correct republicans next fall on the campaign trail about whose fault it would have been is priceless for Democrats.

So is leaving Medicare, Medicare and Social Security out of this "agreement", if you want to call it that.

Let him get his votes then we can all tell the truth. They won't read it so let them follow his lead.

As is the fact that we don't have to deal with their hostage-taking for another two years.

The rest of the deal is pretty much shit, but we have two years to regain the House, so we can abolish the debt ceiling and avoid ever being in this situation again.

Shhhhhh... Let's get it passed and then celebrate. It feels like eliminating it is a good idea since it's only purpose seems to be for radical idealogues to threaten to destroy our economy by not paying our bills.

The whole concept of debt ceiling is outdated. If Dems control Congress after the next elections I expect them to remove it altogether.

McCarthy is trying to save his Speakership...I'm trying to figure out David Sirota's, and those like him, angle for speaking as this is a huge loss for Democrats.
