Long ago, the only commercials for medications were for over-the-counter meds.

I am still against direct-to-consumer ads for prescription meds, because:
1. They are not like any other consumer item, because you have to ask a doctor for them.
2. Ads are expensive, so drug ads make the drug costly.

Precisely. The sheer amount of production dollars spent on these mini musicals is mind boggling. 🤯
All for a patient to Google said product that may or may not have anything to do with their own medical situ. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don't understand advertising something you cannot just pick up yourself. I guess they are hoping that patients will ask the Dr. for whatever it was they heard in the ad.
