I have 3 kids. My oldest is bisexual. My middle is bi and non-binary. My youngest is trans. They are all amazing kids, and all struggle with mental health issues stemming from sexuality/gender identity, and acceptance. So jokes and memes that make LGBTQ+ lives the punch line aren't fucking funny.

Thank you for saying that. I am an Transgender Woman myself and I have grown tired of seeing Transphobia with the intent to dehumanize Transgender people.

I’m with you too. I don’t like anyone using LGBTQ+ as a punchline either.

I’m not trying to be glib, but your family is definitely unusual. Statistically LGBTQ make up approximately 10% of the population. For 100% of your family to be under the 🌈 is quite incredible. I have 4 young adult kids. 3 out of 4 are straight. My 1 daughter is bisexual. We never cared. ☮️

It's unusual, sure. I don't have any explanation, they are just my kids. Two of the three are autistic though, and those stats are far higher among those on the spectrum.

I wonder what the percentage would be if kids didn't feel too vulnerable to be themselves. Highest kudos for providing an open, secure place for them. Hoping others will be inspired.

Well said, Frank. My oldest daughter is queer, and I too don’t appreciate the constant attacks on the LGBTQ+ community.

We will have to keep speaking out and fighting for them until the world accepts them for who they are. I got your back.

Wonderful that your kids have so much love and support in their family... it makes a huge difference.
We may be strengthened by having to fight battles, but ... not all the time, 24/7. Blessings to you all.

My family is totally irreverent. But that’s us, and within ourselves.

We call each other gay. We have jokes that nobody else would understand, let alone find funny.

Sometimes… We slip up and do it in public. And get mistaken for haters.

Sometimes, just ask people what they mean without jumping?
