Spoutible's Low-Budget, Audacious Quest to Be the Next Twitter

"When Elon Musk’s reign of toxic chaos began, Christopher Bouzy didn’t just go looking for a rival place to post. He joined the crowded race to create one. (It got difficult.)"

Thanks for the splashback—didn’t read this in June. It’s amusing the journo thinks the site is overrun by #Sussex stans, tho. I hardly ever see M&H content #onhere .

And I be looking! 👀👀👀

Hmmmm. Maybe he’s a #secretsquaddie ? 😂🤣😂

I don’t think Spoutible should WANT to be the next Twitter. Twitter got too big for it’s own good. It got taken over by a Machiavellian person. We’re already seeing some of the fallout from this. I’d rather be a moderately sized friendly community, than a huge unwieldy BEAST like Twitter. ☮️

Great article.

There is no algorithm on #Spoutible which is good. We see only what the accounts we follow spout or echo.

Psyops, disinformation bots, and trolls can't function for long as they do on Twitter.

There is no "posting into the void". If we want engagement, we need to give it.

I write mostly NF, interview- and research-based, so there are few things I admire more than a well-written profile (Reader, it's not as easy as you'd think)
This one, by @brendankoerner for WIRED is a great story. Bravo.
