So the teeny books. Breast pocket editions w/ pressed embossed leather covers were sold in the 1920s for the edification of everyone- you could come very close to a classical educaton w/ these from Twain to the Tempest & lots in between. During WWI, sets were pushed as great presents for soldiers.

THE RUBIYAT, a sad but beautiful Othello w/reader's notes dated 1893. The leather spine is shot, a book @ Booth, again, super early.

All oddly cool. I am goig to work on the leather & see if I can rescue Othello in some way....

There are also little books by Oscar Wlde, Robert Burns, etc.

Oddly enough, the pressed, embossed leather composite fared better than the normal leather cover that the Othello copy has- too bad because that is such a beautiful, understated cover...
