How can we blame US service members that engaged in #Jan6 - when they were fed angry ranting lies from the #FatOrangeSlug - from #FauxNews playing 24/7 on military bases?
Who is responsible? IMO there is enough blame to go around and it is past time to change the channels!

Reminder that Fox News is allowed to be played in common areas of our military bases, polluting the minds of our soldiers and military leaders don't seem to give a shit about constant propaganda against the C&C

I didn't express this very well. Punishing those that believed the lies, while ignoring the lies that are still, today, being spewed on our military bases and while NOT doing anything about those responsible is not acceptable.

Nah, that's bs. You take an oath to protect the USA, then need to be court martialed and serve prison time. I'm a Navy vet.

Yes, they have to pay. No free ride for an attempt to overthrow democracy.
My issue is w/ nothing being done about faux news still, to this day, playing on bases. Isn't there a point where dangerous lies must be called out?

Multiple things can be true at them same time:
- Higher-ups in the military are responsible for allowing a propaganda outlet be the default on base
- Everyone at Fox is culpable for the propaganda

AND

- Service members are responsible for their own actions because they are adults

And isn't there a point where someone says this is dangerous propaganda and ban faux news from US bases.

The U.S. service members who betrayed their oath and tried to overthrow our government are responsible for their own actions. This framing that they aren't responsible because they watch fauxnews is gaslighting. What does "there is enough blame to go around" have to do with their betrayal?

If you don't have common sense, you have no business being in the military. Furthermore, I would never let some whackadoodle talk me into trying to overthrow the government, etc. These people are adults. Weak-minded adults, but adults responsible for their own actions. Period.

Agree 💯 My 2 cents is it's not surprising that many in the military are swayed by Dear Leader's message, if you are fed Faux N.'s propaganda all day long. However, they are in the military where discipline, integrity, etc. is ingrained into them. They made their bed, time to face consequences.
