So, I see the discussion has turned to whether or not Adult Content creators should be on spoutible.com. My $.02? let them come but require their posts be marked NSFW 🔞. I don't mind but a lot of people are triggered by pornography. Make it safe for SW's and civilians by giving us a choice.

I agree. I might not draw much nsfw, but being allowed to share such work is essential if you want creatives to flourish on your platform.

I'm all for tagging it nsfw and making it easy to filter away.

It's another chance to do it better than twitter.

I've always been of the mind, since we're looking to do basic verification anyway, that if an account wants to opt in, let them, and give a space for SWs to thrive that's only accessible if you actually verify and opt in yourself.

But pulling that off is a lot when getting started.

I am not here selling my work. There are places and venues for that. There are places and venues for sex workers to do their work.

There really aren't as many as you'd think, and even less that can offer some modicum of personal safety. Like I said, as long as we're given a choice as to what we see, I don't have an issue with sex workers using the platform.

Agreed. Should be marked/opt-in whatever. I won't follow those accounts so chances are they'll never show up in my timeline anyway. There aren't algorithms spewing stuff at me that I don't want to see here so I don't really see the problem.

I’d much prefer a setting that keeps it out of my feed entirely. And, I’m not sure the development team needs to prioritize making sure people can monetize porn on the platform. I would think scaling up and gaining users would be the big concerns but that’s just me.

I would prefer a way to opt out of seeing it at all; agree with allowing it if that can be done. I don’t want a torrent of posts labeled NSFW in my TL.

I'm sure there's a way to do it. Someone mentioned Hive having a pretty healthy moderation system when it came to adult content.
