Hmm. I don't know the answer to this question. If insurance companies can get out of paying for it, you know they'll stop.

I'm way past the birth control stage of life. On the one hand I think this is fabulous and hope other states will follow. On the other hand, my one concern is for all those women whose insurance paid for the prescription birth control. Will they have to pay out of pocket now? Really my only concern.

Once medication goes over the counter very few insurance companies pay for them & that’s one of the reasons I’ve never been sold on the idea. It would probably then fall to clinics like planned parenthood for free oral contraceptives. Since PP is no longer well funded it would be tough on them
