Just a reminder to all of us on Spoutible not to become that which we claim to despise - intolerant, hateful, judgmental, and unwelcoming. This space is for everyone: all faiths or no faith, all political leanings, from all walks of life. Always be kind.

Please note that kindness does not mean that you will not be challenged or confronted when appropriate. It just means that kindness and compassion will be at the core of all my exchanges. I will never be rude but I will tell you my truth.

Kindness and tolerance matter, but some things should never be tolerated. Some opinions do not deserve kindness. Antisemitism, racism, promoting violence against LGBTQ - none of those things should or ever will be tolerated by me or responded to kindly. They shouldn't be tolerated by anybody.

I don't disagree with regard to not tolerating hate or bigotry of any kind. I do think you can respond to any situation in a way that does not involve slinging insults. Obviously, everyone is entitled to their own opinions on this matter.

I tend to agree about not slinging insults. Normally that's when you've lost the argument, and certainly the high moral ground, on any subject.
