Biden student loan forgiveness plan has been struck down by the Supreme Court and it’s time for congressional members to get off your lazy AZZ’s and legislate

I'm sure most Democrats would be happy to vote for it.

But let's not kid ourselves: it would never pass the House because Republicans hold a majority, and it would never pass the Senate because of the filibuster, and Manchin and Sinema's refusal to vote with the rest of the party to end it.

The only way this, or so many other necessary things, happens is if we:

a) Hold the White House in 2024 (a Republican President would veto if it was passed).

b) Retake the House.

c) Get 50 votes in the Senate for abolishing the filibuster.

We need to get out and get this done.

And all those whiners need to remember that Biden/Harris did everything they could legally, and will still use the unseen levers of power buried in Dept of Ed regulations, but the anger should be directed correctly to the GOP who keep blockiing while approving PPP forgiveness. We know who they are.

it seems some members of Congress can't wrap their heads around the fact that it's their job to get this done

Are you saying that they need to do more than dance on Instagram or wave a whiteboard? That's just crazy talk!
