An unconventional Thanksgiving;
Ham steak,
Sauteed onions and Brussel sprouts,
Mashed sweet potatoes,
Biscuits,
Cooked cranberries,
Pumpkin pie,
Pinot noir,
More pinot noir,
Egg nog,
More pinot noir.
I don’t remember what the food tasted like. But it was good. Time for a nap.

I got a very nice and detailed rejection from an agent for my book "Ayo," but her main gripe was that the book is completely based in Kenya with Kenyans, and I'm an old white guy in the US. I sent it to a Kenyan editor for cultural edits, and did a decent amount of research,

I feel guilty.
I wrote "An Unusual Practice" with no intention of ever writing a sequel. The book stood well by itself. But I left enough stuff open that a reviewer referred to it as a cliffhanger, and was irritated by that.
I promised a sequel in a year. It took four years.
