The bottom line is there are too many white people willing to make excuses for other white folks behaving badly.

Maybe I'm extra sensitive because I'm a Black woman raising a Black son. But I know how hard it is for Black men.

I'm definitely feeling some type of way right now.

Wasn’t on much today.
But today we moved #MomMel out of the hospital and into a place where she’ll be getting PT/OT.
Not her home yet, but a step closer.
This is the hard part: You know they’re unhappy where they are, they know the need to be there to get better.
*sighs*
Gummy.
Sleep.

Just counted up the wordage on my short list of stories I'm considering for Best Horror #15 : 256,000-that's not counting the 20,500 words I've already picked (4 stories)nor the reading I haven't yet finished. Several collections (I need to read the 2022 stories in them), anthos, & a magazine or 3.

Jeez, it's taken me two months to go from sketch to digital chicanery to transferring to linoleum. My attention is fractured among too many projects. But the best part is to come - CUTTING.

ART WITH KNIVES.

For my nautical nonsense novel.

Ok, It seems some websites have geographical content restrictions (for ex. National Geographic). A solution is using a VPN, and switch to a country that needs no subscription, (Opera browser, for PC and mobile, have free VPN). I'll try to post articles from free websites for everyone 💚 #Spoutible

It is so fucking refreshing to read a space horror book that isn’t just a retread of one of the ALIEN movies. I’m about halfway through David Wellington’s latest, PARADISE 1, and good lord, is this ever fantastic! #amreading #horror #horrorbooks

Your occasional reminder that I have written a pretty well received dark fantasy trilogy that tickles at those RPG tropes & deals with trauma in a realistic way. Please purchase these books and read them:

Separating the art from the artist is fine if the artist is long dead.

If they're still alive and profiting from your patronage, maybe consider redirecting your dollars to living non-bigots desperately trying to survive in a world where the arts are woefully undepaid.

Well, the SOTU speech was refreshing, and Biden handily baited the GOP into saying they're taking cutting SS and Medicare cuts off the table. Smart and sharp guy. I'm glad he's my president.
