This handsome boy is Choo Choo. At 4 months old, he and his brother hitched a ride to Illinois from Georgia in a train container. After 5 days on the train, they were found when the container was opened at its final destination. Four months later, this formerly feral guy is ready for a home.

The kittens that recently came in with their feral mama are one week old now. The umbilical cords are off and their eyes are starting to open. They like to protest and hiss at me when I pick them up since I don't smell like their mom. It is so cute!

This morning our team trapped a feral mama cat who gave birth to four kittens yesterday. She is now safe inside and settled in a crate. Although nervous (as expected), she is doing a great job caring for her babies.

A week ago, this boy was being given away for free on Facebook. One of our team members saw the post, jumped into action, and picked him up right away. Which was a good thing because he was in really bad shape. Fast forward a week & look at our boy now. He even gained six ounces! Meet Turbo...

Please help us welcome another newbie that also joined us on Wednesday. Ginny was picked up by one of our supporters after being spotted in her neighborhood for a few days. Yes, it's a girl! A long-haired, orange and white girl. We were definitely surprised.

Picked up these two from a firehouse in Chicago at midnight last night. They were rescued by my friend & another firefighter from an alley adjacent to the firehouse. Meet Arturo & Chris, named after the two guys who saved them. They are very thin & malnourished, but okay otherwise.

Yesterday, I received the below text from an adopter & it sent me into a total panic mode. I called my friend sobbing & screaming "they killed Enzo". I was hysterical. The thought of a vet killing a kitten for something that is treatable was unbearable.

We are so excited to announce that we are opening up our very own cat lounge adoption center! After months of looking for space, and two months of waiting for a zoning permit from the city, we finally got our keys! Still a lot of work to do to get it ready for our feline friends, but we are ready!

This kitty decided to take a stroll in his Chicago neighborhood on Wednesday. Lucky for him, one of our awesome fosters was driving by & scooped him up. After making a found post in a local Facebook group, his owner came forward & Smokey gets to go back home where he belongs.

Butterscotch and Bogie have the right idea of dealing with a Monday.
Butterscotch (ginger) came to us after he was spotted with severe injuries to his face & head. Once in our care, we also learned that most of his tail was missing. We are glad he is now with us and has healed.
