This was my first thought as well. I don't think it's physically possible for a phone camera to capture that level of detail of a bright object at night... it's kind of a slippery slope when AI starts "fixing" your photos - they slowly stop reflecting reality.

I once had a dream that I had to share a cab with Bill Murray and as we were talking he asked me if I wanted to get high. I was like "Hell Yeah! I'm not passing up the opportunity to get high with Bill Freakin' Murray! And then he looked at me and asked "Well... do you have any weed?!" I did not.

While I agree this is great news (and somewhat surprising it's that high), the stats guy in me says the since the poll has a +/- 2% margin for error, the headline is misleading. Seems like it should read something like "Poll: Majority of respondents would..." or "Voters split on disqualifying..."

Let's see billionaire buys social media platform, dismantles anything the would prevent disinformation, encourages right-wing disinformation on the platform, actively engages in disinformation and then starts doing things that benefit Russia... we can all see where this is headed in 2024. Buckle up.

Potentially because they've either flipped or the prosecutor believes they can be flipped and they're being pressured. There's nothing preventing them from being charged later if they choose not to cooperate...

It all depends on how you define "sin". If sin is just doing something wrong or doing one of the things written down in some ancient list of thou shalt nots - then yeah, there's quite a bit of that going around. If sin requires some deity to be the judge - that's up to you to decide.

I say bring back the powdered wig! It's been all downhill since those were in fashion!!

In all seriousness, why are people still wearing suits? They're not comfortable or practical. My kids wear pajamas with crocs to the grocery store and feel no shame - they know what's up!

I think he'll keep it as his own personal plaything. He obviously didn't buy it with the idea that it would be a profitable investment... Though I could also see him keeping it through the election cycle as the go-to propaganda tool for foreign influence campaigns and then discarding it afterwards.

Exactly! Adjusting the rules based on the machine doing things you didn't anticipate is a normal/expected part of any machine learning exercise, whether you're training it to play checkers or global thermonuclear war.

This seems kinda overblown IMO... to fix this, it seems like you'd just need to adjust the rules of the model so that it only gets points for taking out drones that a human has told it to take out - anything else loses points (including any property destruction like comms towers)...
