Hi April!
I've very much enjoyed the Ian M. Bank's "Culture" series of sci-fi and The Three Body Problem, generally science fiction I guess. Snow Crash another excellent volume exploring a slightly alternative reality where some-cool-thing works. (In that case the "nam-shub" and language virus).

This is nonfunctional by design and blatantly so. Not having this in a database is so evil it's silly.

That's an amazing finish, your painting is 11/10.

It's funny I was just feeling "left out" by not getting an invite and then it demonstrates its no better than the bird. The flow here still feels awkward from lack of practice.

Whoops, they are usually much better about that sort of thing. I use Chrome on my phone so missed the new bug.

Chips like crisps or chips like fries? Mayo or ketchup? Do you have a beverage accompanying the chip?
Do you find a few questions about chips from someone randomly a bit odd? Sorry about that. I need to go get myself some chips.

You need to draw the lines between the dots to complete the pattern.

We have a couple of different Signal groups for household chat here, it's helpful to give everyone an opportunity to use the facilities before you occupy the shower without raising your voice.

A couple of legal teams just lost all their weekends for a while!
I dislike Meta for not managing their influence and creating a platform that was weaponized for several elections around the world, but would be using Threads now if they had a browser interface instead of just the app available.

That looks like a good system, and as someone who is grateful for the assistance of his wife filling up a weekly set that is incredibly helpful to not have to get into each bottle every time, good on ya.

Glad to know it. It's been terrifying as a parent, my oldest is more vulnerable due to CP, but that also has built in social distancing from being non verbal. It's been difficult to get folk to respect "I only have half a lymphatic system left due to cancer, I can't survive this disease." and mask.

That doesn't sound like fun, very lucky you didn't get it too, and glad to know that everyone is well recovered? Now it's only worry about re-infection and developing one of the sets of long covid symptoms. :)

The Quantum Thief series by Hannu Rajaniemi is a lot of fun, explores a post-human world were we have evolved ourselves but still get into lots of fun trouble. Ian M. Bank's Culture series is also good for hopeful looks at future state humanity.
In gaming I'm probably missing out on Starfield 😭

Lately it's been trying to write and correspond with folk mainly to say thanks for being part of it and sorry I can't make it to anything next year. I'm Agrivane on Steam and some of the other gaming platforms so try to escape into virtual worlds a lot. Re-reading some favorite books when I can.

Totally, I'm hoping the population will grow, I also need to give Mastadon a fair try, it was "too different" for where I was a few months ago but the loose federation seems neat. Spoutable's AT protocol is supposed to do the same, but needs opensource devs interested before it will become viral.

I'm hoping he is going to get bored of ruining it, he will sell it to someone and they can have a dev roll back the code to the day before he started making it suck.

Thanks, I've been lucky so far, but it's also been a very rough journey with more pain than I ever imagined a human body could experience.
