I'll admit that the ending of the book perplexed me, as did some of the plot lines.
It is a moving book.

I certainly didn't know this fascinating story of a Jewish man (and an accomplice) who escaped from Auschwitz in April 1944, and provided the world with the most factual description of what was going on at the death camp with the hope that it would save lives.
