Still at Bluesky, they’re more vibrant atm. Lots of journos and news. But the changes since I was here last time looks nice. Love the wordcloud.
Augustin Erba @Augustin_ErbaGoodbye Spoutible, you’re now joining Ello, Google Wave and many others that failed to create the content necessary to become relevant. I’m off to Bluesky. Thanks for having me and better luck next time.08:39 AM - Jul 05, 2023

What I really, really miss from Twitter is not the celebrities, but the journalists and the newssites. Most sites are behind a paywall these days and most journalists have quit live-tweeting, so it doesn’t even exist at twitter, anymore, but it was great while it lasted.

Turning the twitter badge from something honorable and trustworthy into a sign of being a loser that pays to play, deserves a place in the bad-business-decisions hall of fame.

*someone* realized that unverifying all of twitter was a bad move. Quietly trying to reverse this move proves again that it is easier to break things than to build them.

It is really fascinating that the crowd that screamed about the publisher ”censoring” Roald Dahl’s books is quiet about the book bans happening everywhere.

Something need to happen here that wouldn’t or couldn’t take place anywhere else. You would have to be here to be a part of it. If that doesn’t happen, Spoutible won’t succeed. TikTok worked with their celebs and promoted their content. Twitter had amazing live interaction with famous people.
Augustin Erba @Augustin_ErbaFacebook was for seeing who was single (yeah, you have forgotten about that), Insta was for filters, twitter was for getting upset (and feeling present in the now), TikTok was for dancing and miming. What is #Spoutible for?01:06 AM - Apr 23, 2023

My bet on what is going to be the next big Broadway evergreen is #schmigadoon . But for now I'll say goodbye to the greatest musical success in my lifetime. We have reached the point of no return.

I never would have guessed that the Phantom would stay on Broadway for thirty+ years. It felt trivial at the time (not only the strained plot) and yet somehow it survived. And now I’ve seen it three times and knows some of the songs by heart.

I did – of course – not pay to get the blue check on twitter. I got mine a decade ago, back in the days when hateful language on twitter was frowned upon.
But I am not sure Spoutible is the future, as there are almost no young people here.

Still logging on to twitter every day. Still getting angry. And upset. It is very difficult to remember that much of what I read on twitter is designed to make me upset. That some of the most ignorant opinions aren't even from real people.

Anyone else curious about the current generational makeup of #Spoutible ? Once the app launches, it’s likely to change but where are we at today?

For those trying to figure out who we are here at @Spoutible I’ll chip in: I recently became Publishing director at one of the bigger book publishers in Sweden, Piratförlaget. I am a midlist author myself, and my novels are published by the biggest publisher in Scandinavia. #WeAreSpouters
