Don't forget to unmount your bindings, wax (don't scrape) your snowboards in the off season and store them indoors to protect them from large temperature swings during the summer months.

As this May cold front breaks down, we can see how it helped to stabilize, even briefly, the snowpack at Mammoth. Hopefully this will get us riding into August! Fingers crossed!

Watching the snowpack at Mammoth Mountain, already a record, may flatten and even rise a little bit next week as colder air and light snow returns to the area, which should push the melt line well into August.
What I'm saying is, I'm confident we will be riding at Mammoth in August!

Thank goodness.
Touch screens replacing all the buttons is just a cost cutting measure.
The one thing I dislike about my new Subaru is the seat heater button is buried in a touch screen menu, on our old Subaru it was just a button.

I got out for a couple hours but it became clear pretty quickly that I was still recovering. Low energy, legs got tired quickly and just had a general malaise. Will have to try again in a couple few days.

Talked to a doctor, prescribed me a steroid and antibiotics for a bacterial throat infection. Sore throat and lost voice sucks, but it didn't stop me from passing my Level 1 ride instructor exam on Thursday!
Was such a great experience, met great people, 10/10 would do again.

This was one of the most memorable times from this whole wild season. I was actually "stuck" at Kirkwood, roads closed in both directions during this monster storm. Rode the day before too, too gnarly to film, but the day after bluebird was on point!
