Sponges tend to absorb more foundation than needed when its your sole delivery system to your face. Try using a buffing brush first to swirl the foundation on the skin and THEN use a wet sponge afterwards to blend it down and out. This will definitely help!

Thanks for your response and since I turn 50 myself this year, great feedback to address the needs of my fellow Get xr's ;) To answer your Q, As we age, less full coverage is better. So to balance out your face, try spot treating those areas with a full coverage product instead and blend after with
