IMO, you don't need religion to have morals but you definitely need to be somewhat philosophical to do so. Philosophy, a love of knowledge or obtaining wisdom is at the root & genesis of all religions. Religions stop being of value when they leave the familial grounds & tenets of philosophy behind

Would be nice but it's not happening anytime soon I'm afraid to say. Cause the truth of the matter is that Dems by their pragmatic, logical and inherently good nature is caught between a rock and a hard place on this. A bi-product of basically negotiating with terrorists or hostage takers.
