Yes. We teach children to do things for themselves whenever possible.
We ALSO teach them to ask. "No, don't climb up on the counter to get the plates!" ~ "Ask me to get it for you."

Democrat (well registered as such anyway)
He kept trying to tell me:
Medicare and Medicaid are the same program,
Over spending on the budget is a problem,
No problem with U.S. "progressive tax system".
