White amaryllis. A gift in late 2020, then placed in a shady spot in my #arizona #Garden and forgotten. Today it is a nice late Spring surprise. #gratitude

Why yes, I DO think that Supreme Court justices should be held to a higher standard than the rest of us. They are, after all, making big decisions that affect us all. Same goes for politicians, now that I think about it. #ClarenceThomas

When I was a teenager thinking that getting old and boring seemed awful, I couldn’t possibly have understood the sheer joy a new garden cart would bring me. Look at that beauty! So easy to haul my array of pruning shears around the yard! #gardening

We are in the midst of disruptive things that will play out over a long period of time. Patience is the key. Make progress where and when you can.

Have you considered or explored the options you have for your drug store needs instead of Walgreens?

You have so many choices. Costco is a good one

The Bill Russell:Legend documentary currently on Netflix is well done. It seems willing to present Bill Russell as a complex man acting on his own for social justice while also enjoying success and privilege that comes to elite athletes. Entertaining and thought provoking. #basketball #CivilRights

One thing I love about gardening is that it happens across a long(er) stretch of time than TV shows or news cycles. I use that to remind myself that justice moves slowly, democracy heals slowly; but it does move. If we sustain our efforts results will come. #KeepOnSwimming #vote #Engage

Twice!
Now it's a sculptural window piece
Destined for the outdoor garden

I found a box of framed items I must have once used for my Vanity Wall. Certificates of completion, 20 years service awards, recognition for volunteer work. That time has passed. I'll take photos of some of them, and donate the frames. Maybe someone at a thrift store will find just what they need!

I find Teri Kanefield to be fair and generally calming, while offering insights that some TV pundits don't. This article is an example. https://terikanefield.com/...

While exploring this welcome new environment, just thinking that if you listen to Richard Shindell, Lucy Kaplansky, Greg Brown, John Gorka, Peter Mulvey, Kris Delmhorst, John Prine, Nanci Griffith, Shawn Mullins, or Tracy Grammer then we could be friends. Who else belongs in this club?

Always thinking of John Prine lyrics. Today:

It's Christmas in prison
There'll be music tonight
I'll probably get homesick.
I love you, Goodnight.
