Wind was a bit heavy today but not enough to keep us in. Quite the chop on the surface, which creates murky conditions down below, so very surreal diving. Especially with these guys circling. They’re Grey Nurse Sharks so harmless. It makes it wonderfully eerie & they were beautiful!

I need to understand why, in novels, so many eyes are described as grey. I’ve never seen a grey-eyed person. It can’t be as common as fiction suggests. Someone explain the “grey eyes of fictional characters” tendency to me. I see it across genres.
