My post if Twitter ends, it's a good end note:

If Twitter dies and we don't find each other I want to reiterate:

1. What happens to the least of us, happens to all of us, so civil rights fucking matter
2. Failure to plan is planning to fail
3. Unions are good
4. It's important to fight. Fig

Reminder, as things get dark, we *CAN* fix this, we can climb out of the pit we are in. The first step to achieving a goal is to believe you can do it.

Diane Feinstein can't resign due to Senate Republicans ability to block committee replmt. Should that rule change? Yes (it should be being able to be changed as that Party's caucus chair sees fit, as wed have the same issue in a couple other situations), but we cant do anything about that now

6 years ago today was the March for Science, which was either the first or second (depending on how you consider me getting elected as a Dem Club board member) event of my life as an active Dem, I attended the Ann Arbor march.

I want to say this -this isn't false modesty but anyone can do what I do politically -I'm not super talented or charismatic. Anyone can do what I do, so if I can work and contribute to change, why can't everyone?

Today is both the anniversary of when Jackie Robinson broke Baseball's discrimination line as well as the birth day of civil rights leader and labor union leader A. Phillip Randolph (for whom the A. Phillip Randolph Institute is named for).

One of the biggest mindsets causing problems in this world right now is the one that says "I, despite having no exper or training, know more about this than anyone trained in the field" (see also: public health and bank failures). Not sure on the technical term as it goes beyond Dunning -Krueger

I might regret this tomorrow, but I used part of my renewed energy tonight to enjoy a little celebration for yesterday. This year's Bell's Oberon is good so far.

Shawn Fain has officially won the UAW Presidency, while I have some significant concerns over him firing a number of his expected appointed staff (with at least one more resigning in solidarity), we'd better hope the UAW United Slt can do what they claim. Because if they can then the membership wins

Crossposted to my other platforms, but this is at a minimum a troubling article on the incoming UAW Pres. I've heard allegations against the reporter, but right now, the reporter has some decent support

Just going to put out there, I'm not plant, but I am UAW, so anyone (particularly any member) who's been following the changes the UAW is going through, both election and post-election, I'm out here and willing to talk

MI Statehouse just overturned the 1931 abortion ban, added LGBTQ protections to the state civil right act and overturned RtW in MI. This is all after increasing EIC. And did I mention we've held the trifecta less than 3 months?

Retirement Tax removed & EITC increased. Tomorrow we get State House votes on repealing RtW, restoring Prevailing Wage and actual gun control measures. MI Democrats get the job done.

Still fighting the Covid (the only pain in the ass us the joint pain, and that might be a overweight person thing) and while I can't go anywhere, I was still planning out speakers for the Dem club via text and phone.

For anyone wondering, I tested positive for Covid yesterday (yeah after almost 3 years, it got me). I did start Pax, but day one was the worst as I had coughing and congestion that went away this evening. All in all, fairly mild, if unpleasant. But I'm gonna be alright.

UAW voting turnout is up almost 30% over Round 1. And at least some of the folks I liked got elected. I'm deeply annoyed at the infighting among membership over the presidential vote, but hopefully we come together afterwards.

I'm reading in horror and fascination the stories from MI R convention. We can't lose to these fucks people. It'd be both disasterous and embarrassing.

Be advised, this first night is gonna be *VERY* tentative. And not just because I had beers with dinner. We're gonna find each other, connect, and work for a better world, just like I've always tried to do.
