The human mind is paramount to functioning individuals and communities. As a father of a young daughter, I constantly think about how a screen-first society is going to affect her. A child's development needs guidance and independent play, not blue light and dopamine hits.

This isn't important news for most folks, but as someone who has vitiligo & endured self-image pressures because of it, this is a very important step to help others understand and accept this autoimmune disorder.

Amazon should have a "Made In" filter that shows you where the products were manufactured. I want to pick "Made in Canada" as much as possible, even if I'm on the world's biggest shopping site to do it. It can't be that hard.

Need something to fill in between your rocks and other tall plants? Creeping Jennies are great for a color burst and fresh, healthy ornamental aesthetic. Zones 4-9, and are part shade. Give it a year or two to really get that growth. Have fun!

What is a good ground material for a dog run, but also acts as a wildlife-attracting and #sustainable xeriscape?
I can't imagine gravel or hardscaping is the answer, perhaps there are native ground covers and/or flora to attract the fauna? Even funga?

Traditional lawns for homes are net contributors to greenhouse gases and offer little biodiversity.
Ditch the lawn & xeriscape instead. More sustainable, & you can do much more w/ far less maintenance! And it looks great!
