Hi Ernie! Welcome to Spoutible! I hope you are willing to engage here. I would recommend you take a deeper dive into how Spoutible handled the security breach. Users were notified and fixes made in a matter of hours. In any case, engagement is what make Spoutible work!

Welcome to Spoutible. Glad you're here. I also read your article, and I take issue about how you characterized how the data breach happened. I've never seen one handled as well as this one.

Read your article - and I have to say Spoutible did an incredible job with the security breach. What was different was how quickly they notified us and how fast they did something about it. Everyone else who has had my data compromised has tried to hide it and notified me months or years (!) later.

I meant he, it was early. When I noticed, it was too late to edit. I actually think what you wrote was fair. However, I just don't agree with we handled it poorly. I can't think of any other social network that patched a vulnerability and notified users within hours.

Hi @cbouzy , I am not going to get into a back and forth about all this, but I don’t think I was particularly harsh by simply pointing out that the incident wasn’t great news for Spoutible. That isn’t to say you’re running a bad network, just that it was a setback.

(Also, I’m a guy.)
