#VinylMusings Queen “15 of the Best”. 1984 from Warner/K-tel. Not sure why I bought this as I had all of the songs on the original albums. Cover pics from “The Works” but no songs from that album appear. 2 from “Hot Space” but excludes “Under Pressure” 🤔 Decent collection

Vinyl Musings “One From The Heart” film soundtrack featuring Tom Waits and Crystal Gale. Sort of vocal Beauty & the Beast or sentimentality wrapped in steel wool. Faves include “Broken Bicycles” (Waits); “This One’s From The Heart” (Gayle/Waits) & “I Beg Your Pardon” (Waits)

Vinyl Musings:Dave Loggins - Apprentice (In a Musical Workshop) Released 1974 contains the hit “Please Come To Boston”. Second cousin to Kenny “Danger Zone” Loggins. Like a cross between Gram Parsons & Dan Fogelberg. Pleasant listening if you like 1970’s country-rock.

#VinylMusings : Supertramp - “Breakfast In America” Recorded 1978; released 1979. Is this album #ProgRock ? Possibly. Is it Pop? I think so. “Gone Hollywood” & “Child of Vision” seem more Prog-like than the singles (title track, “Goodbye Stranger”, etc.). Conclusion: Prog Pop.

Vinyl Musings: The Hollies - “What Goes Round…” Recorded 1981-83; released 1983. Bought this upon release. Didn’t work for me then, hasn’t improved after 40 years. Disappointed there were no Graham Nash written songs. 80’s style production hasn’t aged well.
