I find it hard to believe that Elon has implemented read limits for everyone. There's maybe six senior engineers left. It's a smokescreen.

And, yeah, like many others, this will now be home. I hope a lot of the accounts I follow end up here or on some other accessible site.

Twitter has been jammed up most of this morning, but will occasionally let a bunch of tweets through. Maybe Elon didn't pay the cloud services bill so they can't spin up enough instances to handle the load.

Regarding this SCOTUS mess, I can't imagine what alternative Biden might be considering besides adding justices. Any ideas?

Here's a question not asked often enough: whatever happened to Steve Mnuchin and his Bond villain wife? Did they just saunter into the sunset with their undeserved gains from the Trump debacle?

Went to see Stoppard's latest, Leopoldstadt, this past weekend. It covers the travails of a Jewish family from 1899 to the mid-1950s. Well-written, solid characters, and unfortunately very appropriate to the times.

Just started reading "Down and Out in Paris and London" by George Orwell. Don't judge him solely by 1984 and Animal Farm - he's a great story teller. It's what Paris and London looked like for a person down on his luck. Warning: the plight of women not discussed; more than enough anti-Semitism, too.

As long as I'm running my "mouth" this morning: spoutible (and as it improves) may be the best replacement platform for Elon's Eleventh Level of Hell compared to the competition.

And, no, I'm not a fanboy for this platform - I work in another side of the biz and have Opinions based on experience

For those of you who notice some slowness in response: putting something like spoutible together in the timeframe Chris was working within is quite a feat in software engineering, design, and implementation. Give it time - I see improvements every day.
