That's really interesting. I called the whale in my book 'Oslo' because obviously Norway is a famous whaling nation. I didn't know about New Bedford - that could potentially be given a cute nod if I ever get around to a sequel.

Wow that's amazing. I've written a book about a whale - it's possibly not as biologically accurate as your paper, but it does build on the foundation of beauty and intelligence. It would be great to hear what a whale enthusiast makes of it.
