The Bible says that.
The cop was right, also, as far as he went . . .
People have to have parties -
In this case, let's wait until Sunday.
Amen

No one and nothing should dampen or prevent our Joy on Sundays - every time we enter the building, on Sundays, especially, since it was the day He Rose in Victory, we are celebrating that Salvation for the world and ourselves.
Rejoice, Rejoice Hall. . .But - everything has a time and a place.(14/*)

Just as the adversary could not separate our Savior from us, neither can he, despite his best efforts, separate us from the Joy, memory and celebration of that Victory.

Christ's Victory won for us, because He and His Father Loved us, not for our merit - we have none, but merely because They Love us.

And that's why instead of only contemplating the Innocent and Bitter Sufferings of our Jesus Christ, we are preparing for and remembering, something else as well - His Victory over the adversary, death and the grave.

The simple truth is, in our frailty, we could not hope to complete successfully or even merely endure such a task.
Which is why God sent His only and Beloved Son, instead.

The grinding loneliness, pain, hunger and thirst would crush and likely kill any of us. How could any of us live or endure over a month and a half without sustenance, comfort - even a glimmer of hope or joy?

Imagine if any one of us had to bear the full burden of what Christ contemplated and experienced while he was in the wilderness and the adversary tried to test Him. (8/*)

In Lent we are remembering a serious and sober thing.
It may be the most serious thing we can think about or experience. (7/*)

We are supposed to be emulating the time Jesus spent preparing to make the ultimate Sacrifice for a people, living, dead and yet to be born, who really didn't deserve it.
So why not those 6 days, as well?
I am neither called nor ordained, so I am not an expert, but this is what I think. (6/*)

I mean, in Lent we are preparing for the betrayal, brutal torture, bitter sacrificial death and placement in the grave of our Beloved Jesus Christ.
It is a serious and sober time. (5/*)

As I mentioned a few days ago, Lent, a time when celebrations, Hallelujahs and feasts generally cease, covers a span that is actually longer than forty days. It is 46 days, but we subtract the Sundays (6 of them) and arrive at 40.
But . . . why do we do that? (4/*)

On that particular occasion, I disagreed with exactly how loud that neighbor's party should be and for how long it should be that loud. Have a good time, but let's not make the floor in my 2nd story bathroom vibrate. I don't think that's unreasonable. (2/*)

Everything they do is calculated to produce certain responses/feelings from their base (+ to an extent their opposition) - so far they are successful.

Treat them like what they are: traitors who know what they're doing/who they're duping.

They are dangerous. Treating them as less helps

I think this is one of the great flaws in criticism of Trump, LB, MTG, et al - the idea that they are 'dumb'.

It's obvious they are not. They are executing a meticulously crafted operation and they are doing it well.

The simple answer is yes.
The perception that there are laws and consequences for everyone takes a big hit if he isn't.
