Gen. Omar Bradley was dubbed "the soldier's general" by the great military journalist Ernie Pyle, and was known for his deep concern for the welfare of his troops. It is so fitting that these fighting vehicles, named in his honor, are helping save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.

Big deal if they have, in fact, reached the second line. Hope you get further confirmation in coming week.

All my spouts have suddenly disappeared and I'm being told I have not posted (though my profile correctly says I posted 11 times). Any clue how I fix? #spoutsdisappearing

I wish you would, Marc. Spoutible has a highly motivated natural audience to support the critical work you and your team are doing to defend our democracy from what is increasingly appearing to be an existential threat. Thank you for all the work you recently did in NC btw.

Yes, this is insane. So many of these people are descending into a truly dangerous state of paranoia fueled by rightwing media that is endangering us all as it is combined with increasingly permissive access to guns.

Exactly! It is often overlooked, but Elon Musk has a pattern of making terrible (not to mention ethically dubious) decisions that have been masked by his successful promotion of his flashier successes. Eventually, this poor decision-making will catch up with him, as it seems to be doing now with Tw

So glad you moved over to Spoutible, David, a much better environment now than Twitter for your reporting and commentary. Twitter is rapidly disintegrating into a swamp of bots, ugly extremism and hateful behavior. Spoutible seems geared to people who want to connect in positive ways and to make t

Sure. But Twitter is foundering and Spoutible is growing fast with an audience that is probably most strongly receptive to Ukraine's interest. Your friends don't have to leave Twitter yet, just post in both forums. My guess is eventually Twitter will implode in time and Musk will give up control.

Would be glad for another assessment of the current situation in Bakhmut and whether the U.S. and its allies are only supplying enough weaponry for Ukraine to achieve a stalemate rather than more ambitious goals - like retaking Crimea eventually (or is that criticism is overblown). Thank you!

I think it's a regional/situational thing, Christopher. In many places/circumstances, the way "Ma'am" is used is respectful and pleasant (like a young boy to a teacher or friend's parent), in others it is used to express annnoyance and distance. LIfe is complicated.
