Lovely weather (Sunny 5C) yesterday so went to Botanic Gardens in west end of Glasgow. Not much in the way of colourful flowers but tree silhouettes were stunning.

Beautiful Day on Tuesday so we went on an outing to Largs (West Coast, Scotland). Town has super promenade, annual Viking celebration, and ferries to the islands. Some recent event left US & Aussie flags on poles on promenade at carpark.

Former Prez Carter on Palestine: extremely insightful and while written well before the current crisis, applies very well and explains but does not condone the violence of Hamas.
Found on Xitter and too good to be left there.

SECOND ANNIVERSARY TODAY (22 Sept) since a clever surgeon, assisted by a robot, removed a cancer from my bowel & created a different route for my stools. This was on our National Health Service & did not impact my family financially. Grateful to be alive in Britain.

Rep. Ritchie Torres @RitchieTorres
Ted Cruz laid out a sinister scheme in the lead-up to Jan. 6 to overturn a 224-year tradition of transferring power from one president to the next.

Ted Cruz is unworthy of the United States Senate.

Yesterday in Edinburgh went to Royal Botanical Gardens, on my short list of favourite places, altho' prices in the café almost stopped me making a donation. Brief meditation at small grove of sequoia trees (dedicated to John Muir) is a must for me every visit. Signage improved since last visit.

This is a working def'n of antisemitism that doesn't inhibit discussion of Palestinian rights or Israeli policies and actions. There are other def'ns as well so alternatives to the controversial IHRA def'n do exist.

This #UnitarianUniversalist webinar explains the IHRA def'n of antisemitism & its problematic aspect - it conflates antisemitism/ opposition to Israeli violations of Palestinian human rights. This def'n is being adopted in many localities. Even the author opposes its use in laws & on campuses.

#ColonCancerAwareness month almost over. The ostomate community has self generated support, from local peer group meetings to a national quarterly magazine. 1/360 apx = 3/1000, the proportion of ostomates / stomatics in the UK population and greater public awareness would be A GOOD THING.

#BowelCancerAwarenessMonth in UK and I saw this notice in the disabled loo at a local football venue. As someone with a stoma and a #BowelCancer survivor I notice these and appreciate public campaigns to help more people find cancers early in their development.
