On our walk this morning this pale purple low flower almost didn’t catch my eye. Calicoflower of the Downingia species; searched calicoflower and got something vastly different looking than this! Up close it’s a sweet, tiny purple, yellow and white, like a pansy.

This spiral fracture caused a lot of pain. Dog behind us, who never gets walked, broke through our shared fence to play with our pup. When things got a bit chippy, grabbed Luna by the collar to put her inside and take the other one home. Luna wanted to play still 😄

Luna the poodle is only my 2nd dog (and I’m in my 60s). Sometimes I mourn the years I didn’t experience the joy of having a dog, but it has been 100% worth the wait. Forever a dog person now ❤️🐩 Oh, and my better half as well 😂

An amazing and beautiful place to find respite, even when it rains, is Bora Bora in Tahiti. Interesting timing as we flew home Feb. 2020, a few days before the world realized we were facing a global pandemic. Thankful we did not get sick while traveling.
