After NPR talked 4ever about MAGA outrage re Trump's conviction yesterday, they got to an impt issue: the low rate of Native Americans voting. Why does the govt make it so hard for them to register & vote? Why can't they vote on rez land? Why can't they use an address on the rez to register? Crazy!

It's done! Sixth grade is in the rear-view mirror! My almost 12-year-old is officially an incoming 7th grader. Not sure how that happened so fast! I still remember going to the parents' coffee when I dropped her off on her first day of preschool. She was fine. I was bawling. 😊

Oh, boy. The NPR bit on Trump's rally acted like it was a normal thing. No mention of crazy Q conspiracy theories or his usual self-absorbed, hateful rants. They talked to a "NY police officer," who described the crowd as "diverse." If I hadn't been driving, I would've banged my head against a wall.

Update: he's back!!!
My nightmare has come true. While I took Kiddo to school, Cutie escaped from the screened porch. He's outside now, and we can't get him to come back in. I'm leaving the screened door cracked and hoping he comes back on his own. My heart is breaking.

I survived 6th grade "graduation" last night, where kids were saluted for good grades, improved grades & activities. Middle school is such an awkward time. Some look like elementary kids & others look like college kids! I loved how they cheered so hard for each other. Gives me hope for the future. 💗
