This photo popped up today. This fur buddy was the best. There never a dull moment with him. Super smart, personality plus and so handsome. Everyday was an all out adventure. 😻

Photo from 10 years ago: a very fluffy gray cat (named Thomas) with white on his collar, a drip of white down his nose and white mitten paws and hind legs. He is laying on his side on light sage green carpet looking up at the camera. He has an open slim red box of kitten toys in front of him. He was a very active good boy. We were attempting to keep him occupied with his own ornaments. He was the best cat we ever had and has since crossed over. Still missed.

I ❤️ these ⛄️. My mother took me on a tour of Christmas decorations in her senior living community in 2014. She helped paint these three & called them the 3 wisemen. Such a sweet memory to come across today. Bittersweet as this was the last Christmas I spent with her. 🕯

I get all the feels of this.

Time to bank the fires of the year.
I know you feel the darkness closing in, but what makes you think that's your problem to solve? Stop trying to tie leaves back to branches.

Make the things that are yours to make.
(Split peas or lentils for the soup?)
When the old rabbi talked about tikkun olam- your duty
to repair the world he made it clear.
The only way creation is restored is through inviting the tiniest shards to find their way back home
to a wholeness we keep trying to imagine.
