Not that it should be said, but Black people. DO care about crime. We want safe neighborhoods and our family members coming home safe.

What we DON'T want is racist overpolicing that treats ALL of us as criminals. We want "protect and serve" to mean equally.

why I believe not just better training of officers and monitoring, but police living in the neighborhoods they patrol. That way they can develop respectful relationships with the public that will help them do their jobs better.

It's important that "good cops" start tearing down

Frankly, THIS is why the 94 Crime Bill came into existence. We DO want peaceful neighborhoods. And crack had made that almost impossible in our communities. Our grannies were begging for peace
