I mentioned earlier that my husband has MS, so we had a ramp built on the front of our house for whenever he needs one (since our old step needed to be redone anyway). I took a photo tonight to share here in case anyone needs ideas on ramps that don't scream "we have a wheelchair at this house".

Since I keep getting likes on my ramp photo, I thought I'd add a link to my accessible bathroom thread so all my accessible spouts are in one spot.

The ramp is basically flush with the threshold. There is maybe an inch that a wheelchair would have to go up or down on the inside of the house, but it is flush on the exterior. My dad was in a wheelchair and I am fairly certain this won't be an issue.

Ah, okay. The photo is a bit deceiving. It looked like there's quite a lip there.

What you're seeing, I think, is the storm door. When it's opened, there is a steel door and the ramp is flush with that threshold. We are getting new exterior doors next and doing away with the storm door.
