This is so true. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't usually walk alone, parks within (hopefully) a safe distance from a store, checks my surroundings regularly, checks my backseat, etc, etc. We all have to do it. We learn it young from experiences like this.

And, of course, the flip side to all that vigilance is that we are blamed when, despite everything we do to stay safe, we somehow fail to stop a predatory man from attacking us. It's never about what he's doing wrong, it's always about what we failed to do right. It sucks.

Yup
If i can't get a close parking space, i will leave the lot not matter what I was there to get. Sometimes will do another errand and try again later, but nope! Not parking too far away
