Seems like so many people I know are jumping on the Threads bandwagon. Is that because there was no invite needed and it was easy to convert a profile from Instagram? (I honestly don't know much about it)

That certainly helped. I'd also peg as the new bright and shiny object they think they need to follow to maintain their social currency. Zuck is going to screw them SO hard.

I think it's because many already had IG, their IG had people they knew, and all they had to do was click. Familiarity and ease. Spoutible is easy, but not everyone has their old following. I actually like it - I've had great conversations here with new people.
