I bet Elon Musk is wishing he treated the talent he fired better, like paying them a decent severance package that included a non-compete clause. Elon is the epitome of being penny wise and pound foolish. #EverythingElonTouchesDies

In CA, non-compete clauses that put limits on an employee’s future job prospects are now illegal & unenforceable.

CA's Business & Professions Code §16600 specifies that any contract clause that restricts an individual from “engaging in a lawful profession, trade, or business” is null and void.

Elon doesn't have a leg to stand on, due to non-compete clauses having been made illegal & unenforceable, so he really can only feasibly contest stuff Twitter holds patents on. Also, he's on shaky ground bc Threads is a warmed-over re-tread of a failed IG ext. from 2021 that flopped & was dumped.
