Remember, Zuck reportedly met Trump secretly in 2019 and struck an under the table deal — Facebook would not deplatform Trump and his followers, and Trump would lay off regulating or taking enforcement actions against Facebook.

He is not a friend to democracy. None of them are.

Blows me away how many on Twitter in the last day are praising threads and saying that'll be their new home. Including reputable, pro-democracy accts a lot of us follow there.
It's like they learned nothing since 2016 despite often speaking out about it.
"It's lesser of 2 evils". Yeah, whatever.

I agree. I had to stop using Twitter for a while, between all of the ads that I had to block & the people touting how wonderful Threads is, when it's what 2 days old & unproven? The things they said they loved about Threads already exists on Spoutible so why is no one talking about Spoutible?

Ppl really aren’t using their brains. If they decide they don’t like it, look what happens if they try to delete it. It can be deactivated, though. All they had to do was wait.

If someone wants to truly delete Threads, their IG acct goes bye-bye, as well.

Now, why would Zuckerberg do that? 🤨
