In the battle to replace Twitter, Spoutible really took the early lead, however, the lack of an IOS application has hurt them. People like ease even without bells and whistles. Yes Thread seems have some stuff missing… but it has an IOS app.

Threads will never have a website since it is fully intended to be an app. Do you want to know how much time I spend on my phone using social media apps?

I may not spend a great deal of actual time on social media apps, however if I look at how much time I spend on my phone and then look at how much of that time is social media… 85% easy.

Spoutible doesn’t have Zuck’s funding either and has way more features than threads.

Eh, it depends on personal preference. I have the app because I'm a lowly Android user but I prefer using a browser on my Kindle Fire (which is what I'm using at the moment). I prefer a bigger screen.

But it isn't a competition to be the biggest and best cab off the rank. The goal is to keep growing the core base, dedicated users, people who leave their bigotry and judgements on shore before they dive in and gave a whale of a time

Hmm… if you look at the commentary from Christopher, he touts the number of visitors and visits and such compared to the alternatives. So seems like there is a competition.

Threads doesn't have a desktop app. That's a deal breaker for me.

An iOS app is coming. And activity will pick up. Spoutible started with no app originally, and continues to grow.

Aware it is coming; however it is not here and an advantage they had will be slipping away.
