I remember this - my father worked on the Hull docks at that time and as a very young childI I drew the Dockside as my entry to the national art completion and won a runner up prize.The feeling at the time of the tragedy was shock and utter sadness. Beautiful

Thanks Angela.

I remember my father getting up at the crack of dawn and heading down to the fish docks to stock up on the freshest fish. In those days my parents ran a fishmongers shop on Holderness Road.

Oh that’s amazing -my dad worked in some admin role using early computers -but occasionally he brought home the most magnificent fish from the dockside. it’s not taken long to decimate the industry and risk the planet. Really lovely to share memories with a fellow member of gods country.
